Hello Students of the Faculty of Informatics! Do you think a “Journal Club” isn’t relatable to our field? You will change your mind!
While we are all here because we love technology, we also know that tech can be misused—and it often is. It is crucial for us, the future creators, to understand the social impact of what we build. Beyond that, have you ever struggled to find reliable information about school life, internships, or scholarships? We are here to bridge that gap by sharing our collective experiences!
🚀 What we are going to do:
1. Global Tech-Society Insights: Interview international students about tech-related social issues in their home countries.
2. Peer Experience Sharing: Interview fellow students about internships, scholarships, and navigating life at ELTE.
3. Expert Perspectives: Talk to professors and industry professionals to broaden our horizons.
4. Article Publication: Transform these interviews into concise, helpful articles for the faculty.
5. Open Innovation: We are always open to new ideas from our members!
🔍 What we are looking for: If you have a passion for these topics, you’re more than welcome! No prior experience is needed—just your curiosity and commitment.
📅 Further Details:
Meetings: Ideally once a week (short check-ins on progress) – Friday 16:00 in room 0.825
Team Size: Expected 5-6 members (flexible).
Roles:
Lead Interviewers (2): Connecting with people and conducting talks.
Content Editors (2): Refining interviews into readable articles and curating tips.
Visual Designer (1): Managing the layout and social media presence.
(Note: These are just ‘main roles’—everyone is encouraged to participate in all activities!)
